Researchers across Southeast Asia working together on infectious disease modelling
Phùng Khánh Lâm
Senior Research Fellow
About:

Lam is a biostatistician specializing in clinical prediction modelling, with a primary focus on dengue infection. His research interests lie in the application of statistical and mathematical modelling to enhance the understanding of interventions at both individual and population levels. At the individual level, his work involves developing clinical prediction models to improve prognosis and optimize the design of clinical trials, particularly in the contexts of dengue and antimicrobial resistance. At the population level, he focuses on leveraging vaccination registry to monitor vaccine coverage, vaccine hesitancy, and predict outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases. By integrating clinical and public health approaches, his research aims to generate innovative tools that improve patient outcomes and enhance public health strategies, ultimately contributing to more effective infectious disease control and prevention.
