Thitiya Theparod is an Associate Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science, Mahasarakham University, Thailand. Her research focuses on infectious disease modelling, statistical modelling, and data-driven decision-support for public health, with particular interests in sexually transmitted infections, mpox, tuberculosis, and climate-sensitive infectious diseases in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Her current work develops mathematical and statistical models to understand transmission dynamics, evaluate intervention strategies, and support policy-relevant surveillance systems. She leads the Epidemic Simulation and Aetiology Nexus for Infectious Diseases (ESANID) research unit, which aims to strengthen modelling capacity, public health collaboration, and evidence-informed infectious disease control in the region.
